The Best May 25, 2003 Walter L. Williams (Colorado) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I have been a Linux Journal subscriber since 1996. I look forward to its arrival in my snail mail box every month. It contains articles for varing levels of understanding, and is very informative. Some just right for me, and some of it is over my head. It introduces programs that I didn't know existed, new products, and instructions on how to do things. Don't listen to those who say that this is a lousy publication. The Linux Journal is after all an engineering style journal. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Best for Linux November 15, 2003 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is the absolute best Linux mag out there, and can be read by new users and professionals both. Linux is a powerful and versatile OS and this magazine highlights its applications, inner workings, and any other information the average Linux user would want. Overall, a well written periodical with valuable information in every issue.
Great for computer peeps! January 30, 2010 Linda Early Kearney (Roanoke, Va) My older son asked for this magazine. He is a computer designer and enjoys this magazine very much. For people who want to know the "ins" and "outs" of computer language, this magazine is a must!
Great Stuff December 1, 2002 11 out of 23 found this review helpful
This is a great magazine with information for every linux user, newbie's will learn, and guru's will delight.
Excellent source of information November 30, 2002 Christopher L. Smith (Virginia) 12 out of 14 found this review helpful
As a relative newcomer to Linux, I appreciate the approachability of this magazine. A really hard core open source type might find it shallow, but it really works for me. The French schtick in the Cooking with Linux column gets a little thin, but the info is great.
