5 out of 5 stars If you are a gamer you only need to read 2 video gaming mags   April 19, 2005

If you are an older gamer (25+)or a younger gamer that is looking for a gaming magazine with real articles and interviews then this is the gaming magazine for you. Every month the magazine comes stuffed with interviews and articles that are well planned out and a lot of research went into. Do you remember when editors in the United States use to actually spend time on an article?

Pickup any video game magazine written in the United States and try to compare it to this magazine. Nobody in the United States writes a magazine that can compare to GAMES TM!

Do you remember Next Generation Magazine before it became Next Gen and went out of business? It is the only mag that was printed in the United States that can compare to Games TM.

After reading this magazine I subscribed and will add Edge Magazine from the UK to my subscription soon. You only need two magazines Games TM and Edge from the UK!

5 out of 5 stars Simply put, this is the one Gaming Magazine to buy if you have to choose.   June 19, 2008

I know the price is high for this magazine, due to it being an import to the U.S., but I have three gaming magazine subscriptions, and this is the one I most look forward to and probably will be the only one I renew. There's a lot of meat to each article, especially the 'behind the scenes of the gaming industry' type of articles. The previews are very often critical of some elements rather than effusive in their praise as is the case of some other magazines. The reviews are excellent and well balanced, and I love the Retro section at the end. While many people could find the retro section useless, to me it's fun to be reminded of some memories I had with older games.

There's very little 'filler' here, and while there are many magazines which focus more narrowly on a given platform that are quite good, this has to be the best of the 'general gaming magazines'.

this magazine is the best written out of all the us ones. and some people say that edge is better but i don't think it is. games tm is easier to follow as a reader than edge and the reviews are written better in games tm vs edge

This is a top notch mag and it's a class act. More publications should take their ideas from here.

I'm a subscriber, and a VERY pleased one at that.

5 stars.
